Welcome to the Dependable Distributed and Networked Systems group of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University.
Our research focuses on the fault-tolerance, security, and
timeliness properties of distributed systems, with a focus on wireless sensor
networks. We are involved in the
development of design, verification and implementation methods, and
building prototypes of dependable systems. We are involved in the following
major projects.

Research positions are available, and the Group welcomes involvement from outstanding students and more senior researchers. Newly admitted CSE students are welcome to contact Anish Arora or Bill Leal at any time.
We rarely fund students at the time of admission to CSE. We expect that they will already have Fellowship or Teaching Assistant support, and we expect them to demonstrate strong research potential in projects related to Group interests before we start to support them. The Group support policy gives priority to students as follows: 1) Students who have passed the Ph.D. qualifiers. 2) Ph.D. students yet to pass the qualifiers. 3) M.S. Thesis students.
Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to each inquiry from student applicants not already in CSE.
